Sister Cities Park Hosts Flea Market This Weekend

By Kim Glovas

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you're looking for something to do on Saturday, the first ever Sister Cities Park Flea Market is being held tomorrow.

If you've never heard of the Sister Cities Park, you've probably seen it. It's right across from the Cathedral Basilica and the Logan Square Fountain. The park was renovated and unveiled last year.

Linda Harris, with the Center City District, says, "Ever since it's opened, it's been a huge success with families and kids, there's a fountain there that's on again in the warmer weather, there's a boat pond that opens May first and the Center City District is programming the park with lots of activities so that people can come out and enjoy it."

Harris says this flea market is generally vintage and antique merchandise. The market will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rain date is Sunday.
