PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In addition to Thursday evening’s massive group run in Philadelphia, a Facebook event page has popped up online with a unique way of showing support to Boston.

The group is requesting that runners participating in Philadelphia’s upcoming Broad Street Run wear “Red Sox” (socks) to show solidarity with the city of Boston.

As of Friday afternoon, just over 1,000 people had been “invited” to partake, with 832 who said they were “going.”
