PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies placed left-handed pitcher John Lannan on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, with a strained quadriceps tendon in his left knee.
Lannan struggled on Wednesday against the Reds after pitching well in his first two starts for the Phillies. Lannan allowed eight hits and six earned runs in 1.2 innings Wednesday. He’s 0-1 on the season with an ERA of 6.14.
The Phillies will announce a corresponding roster move to fill Lannan’s spot.
