Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are investigating a fatal accident involving an Amtrak train.

The incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Amtrak/SEPTA Churchmans Crossing Station located in the area of the Delaware Park and Casino in Newark, Delaware.

Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train.

Officials say the train stopped north of Delaware Park.

Police are on the scene investigating.
