By Bill Wine
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - This weekend saw a new leader at multiplexes. 42 was a hit, appropriately enough, at the box office.
The Jackie Robinson baseball biopic, starring Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford, finished first over the weekend, earning an estimated $27-million in its debut. It was the best opening weekend any baseball movie has ever had.

The new horror-spoof sequel, Scary Movie 5, was second, with a first-weekend total of $15-million. Third and fourth went to holdovers The Croods and, G.I. Joe: Retaliation with $13- and $11-million respectively.
As for last week's ticket-selling leader, Evil Dead, it dropped to fifth with less than $10-million, rendering it a one-weekend wonder.
