2 Men, 2 Women Arrested In Murder Of 54-Year-Old Franklinville Man

FRANKLINVILLE, N.J. (CBS) – Police say two men and two women have been charged with the death of a 54-year-old man who was found dead inside his bathroom.

According to police, the victim, identified as John McConnell of Franklin Township, was found dead by his brother on April 1st.

Police say the victim was bound at his hands and feet by duct tape and zip ties. Allegedly, he was killed by blunt force trauma to the neck and head, according to an autopsy report.

Jon O. Nordberg of Vineland, David J. Buss of Glassboro, Amanda C. Rickerd of Mantua and Valerie G. Niessner of Sewell were charged with burglary, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, robbery and murder.

Police say Nordberg was a friend of the victim, Buss was a friend of Nordberg, Niessner was Nordberg's girlfriend and Rickerd was Niessner's niece.

Nordberg is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail.

Buss is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Rickerd and Niessner are being held on $750,000 bail.
