TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – Governor Christie has signed new legislation pertaining to minors and tanning beds.

According to a release, Christie signed a bill on Monday that prohibits minors under 14 years of age from using spray tanning facilities and prohibits minors under 17 years of age from using tanning beds.

The bill also says that minors seventeen and older are permitted to use commercial tanning beds if a parent or guardian is present at the tanning facility for the initial consultation.
