Woman Accidentally Shot Dead By Boyfriend In Kensington


PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia Police say a 27-year-old woman is dead after she was shot in the neck Saturday night in the Kensington section of the city.

The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. on the unit block of East Seltzer Street.

The victim was reportedly shot accidentally by her 28-year-old boyfriend, who was arguing with another man outside their residence, according to authorities.

The victim was taken to Episcopal Hospital by a private vehicle and pronounced dead at 8:15.

Authorities say the boyfriend was taken into police custody as officials continue to investigate the shooting. He has not yet been charged and the woman has not yet been identified.
