AMBLER, Pa. (CBS) – The FBI and Upper Dublin Township police are searching for an armed suspect that robbed a bank in Montgomery County Saturday.
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the PNC Bank, located at 1015 South Bethlehem Pike in Ambler.
According to officials, the suspect entered the bank, shortly after it opened, wearing a white cloth bag or pillowcase with eye holes cut out over his head, a black Nike drawstring bag and had a small black semi automatic pistol.
Allegedly, the suspect ordered everyone to get on the floor and then fled the scene after getting an undisclosed amount of cash from one of the tellers. Police say he put the money in the Nike bag he was carrying.
The suspect has been described as a 210 pound, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, white male with a heavy build. He was wearing a brown suit coat, brown or grey patterned tie, light blue button-down shirt, dark pants and light green latex or rubber gloves. He was last seen heading north on Bethlehem Pike.
Police say he may have ran behind an alley near the bank and left the area in a vehicle.
