PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A female suspect has been charged in connection with the deadly stabbing of a Army veteran inside his West Philadelphia home last week.

Carolyn Harris, 37, has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of 59-year-old Peter Miles.

Police were called to Miles’ Poplar Street home at about 9 a.m. on March 22nd for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, they found Miles with multiple stab wounds in a second floor bedroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Harris also lived at the home and they believe the stabbing was domestic-related.

Harris was arrested on Sunday and is facing charges of Murder and Possessing an Instrument of Crime.

The motive for the deadly stabbing remains under investigation.
