PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a 36-year-old male in critical condition.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Friday night on the 2200 block of Wharton Street in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia.
According to police, a 36-year-old male was shot in the head, shoulder and chest.
Police say the victim was leaving a bar when he was shot.
Police are searching for evidence.
“We found several businesses in the area that have private surveillance cameras, so hopefully these cameras captured part of or all of this shooting,” says chief inspector Scott Small.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is listed in extremely critical condition.
The suspect has been described as a black male wearing a dark hat, blue hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants. No arrests have been made at this time.
