Truck Crashes Into Tree In Bucks County; Driver Killed

PLUMSTEAD Twp., Pa. (CBS) – A truck crashed into a tree in front of a home in Bucks County Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 1:00 p.m. on the 4600 block of Old Easton Road in Plumstead Township.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as police and medics responded. At first, the pick-up truck appeared to have crashed into the front porch of the home.

Police later confirmed that the driver crashed into a tree after the vehicle left the right side of the road.

The driver, a man in his fifties, was killed. There were no other passengers in the truck.

No other injuries were reported.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.

Old Easton Road has been reopened to traffic.
