Pinterest Unveils Subtle New Changes

By Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pinterest has quickly become one of the biggest social networks.

Now, after a three month test period, the online bulletin board site is sharing its redesign with its 48 million users.

Pinterest says users should be getting invitations to try out the new look soon.

The design changes are subtle. The images in the newsfeed are larger, and profile pages have been condensed to show more pins in less space.

Pinterest has also added a bunch of discovery features. When you look at a pinned image, you can now see pins from the same board on the right hand side. You can also explore pins from the same source or website and see what "people who pinned this also pinned."

For now, these features are only available on the desktop, but Pinterest will soon update its mobile apps as well.
