Standoff At Bucks County Sporting Goods Store Ends, Gunman Found Dead

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. (CBS/AP) -- A standoff at the Dick's Sporting Goods store in Falls Township, Bucks County has come to end.

Authorities say 58-year-old Mark McCarpy of Levittown was found dead inside the bathroom of the store with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The incident began just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday night along Commerce Boulevard in Fairless Hills.

Police say a McCarpy walked into the store, took at least one gun and some ammunition from a counter, screamed for everyone to leave, and then barricaded himself inside a bathroom in the rear of the store.

Store employees and customers at Dick's Sporting Goods and all surrounding stores were evacuated.

There were no initial reports of any other injuries.
