CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) — Prominent real estate developer Bruce Toll may be interested in bidding on the bankrupt Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill.

Toll has some “preliminary interest” in developing the 155-acre Woodcrest Country Club property as a medical campus, says his attorney, Jeffrey Kurtzman.

So far, the only other likely bidder expressing interest to the bankruptcy court is a group whose principals are the family controlling Sun National Bank, which is owed nearly $12 million by the country club.

The bankruptcy trustee says Woodcrest has no cash to open this year, and that members can pick up their clubs and personal items on Saturday.

No date for an auction has been set.
