Medical Examiner Rules Death Of Lambertville Woman Found In Canal Accidental

LAMBERTVILLE, NJ (CBS) – The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office has released new information pertaining to the death of a Lambertville woman who went missing back in January ( see previous story).

The Medical Examiner has ruled that the cause of 39-year-old Sarah Majoras' death was drowning, and that the manner was accidental.

Lab results indicate that a high level of alcohol was also present in Majoras' blood at the time of death.

Majoras went missing after leaving a bar in New Hope early on the morning of Jan. 26th. She was last seen on surveillance video crossing the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, and her body was found in the Delaware & Raritan Canal on Jan. 31.
