PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A national magazine is asking its readers to vote for their favorite up-and-coming chefs, and almost all of the finalists in the Mid-Atlantic region hail from Philly.

Seven out of 10 of the finalists in the running for Food & Wine’s “The People’s Best New Chef” in the Mid-Atlantic area are Philadelphia chefs. Jason Cichonski, of Ela; Josh Lawler, of The Farm and the Fisherman; Kevin Sbraga, of Sbraga; Lee Styer, of Fond; Greg Vernick, of Vernick Food & Drink; Sylva Senat, of Tashan; and Chris Kearse, of Will; are all nominated for the honor.
