GALLOWAY, N.J. (CBS) — A gas leak forced the evacuation of residents in two buildings at a South Jersey apartment complex Monday night.
The incident happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. at 68 White Pond Court in Galloway Township, New Jersey.
Officials say at least 20 people in 16 units were evacuated as a precaution after a report of an odor of gas.
Fire officials on scene say trace amounts of the gas were too small to initially determine where the leak was coming from.
It wasn’t immediately known when the residents affected by the gas leak would be allowed to return to their apartments.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
