WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Police in Wilmington are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on railroad tracks.

Police say officers were called Friday night to the 800 block of New Castle Avenue for a report of a woman who walked onto the tracks as a train was approaching.

The woman was found unresponsive lying across the tracks and later died of her injuries.

Police say they’re continuing to investigate and didn’t immediately release her name Saturday.
