PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for the suspects who robbed a third grade student in East Germantown on Friday.
Around 8:31 a.m., the 9-year-old was inside Jaques Mini-Market at Wakefield and Ashmead Streets when two unknown males watched her make a purchase.
The suspects then went outside and waiting for the child to leave the store, when they approached her on the 5200 block of Wakefield Street and grabbed her wallet, which contained $13. The suspects then fled.
The first suspect is described as a black male with light skin who is between 14 and 18 years old. He has a thin build and was wearing a dark colored PUMA sweatshirt with “PUMA” on it in white lettering on the left sleeve and dark colored running pants with vertical white stripes down the leg.
The second suspect is also described as a black male between 14 and 18 years old. He has a dark complexion and medium build and was wearing a gray jacket with a dark colored hooded sweatshirt underneath with ADIDAS and the symbol in white on the front and khaki pants.
