Philadelphia Makes Top 10 List Of Worst Cities For Car Drivers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia came in 10th as one of the worst metropolitan cities for car drivers according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

According to Nerd Wallet, Philadelphia is the tenth worst city for drivers due to traffic, high population density and availability of parking, or lack thereof.

Nerd Wallet analyzed data based on three questions:

  1. Will you be stuck in traffic?
  2. Is gas expensive?
  3. Is the city overcrowded?

Results found that Philadelphia each commuter, in and out of the city, is delayed on average about 48 hours per year, according to Nerd Wallet.

Cities worst then Philadelphia are:

  1. New York, NY
  2. Chicago, IL
  3. San Francisco, CA
  4. Los Angeles, CA
  5. Boston, MA
  6. Washington, DC
  7. Oakland, CA
  8. Honolulu, HI
  9. Portland, OR
