PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Three bald, blue men bring their muti-media show to Philadelphia tonight.

Christopher Smith, 27, is one of the blue men in the Blue Man Group theatrical tour.

“Outside of my own mom and a couple of close friends, I don’t know a whole lot of people who can recognize men in makeup versus out of makeup.”

Music, physical comedy, special effects and the audience are incorporated into the show.

“We are literally climbing on chairs. We are pulling people up on to stage and there is actually one part of the show in particular where we pull a lady up on the stage and we genuinely don’t know who that person is going to be, they don’t know who they will be. We just kind of go out and have an impromptu casting session as the blue men and just go out and pick someone that we would like to perform with on stage.”

The Blue Man Group will be performing at the Merriam Theater tonight through Sunday.
