PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Even with the quiet weekend here, many are already thinking about coming weather system that might pay a visit midweek.
As the saying goes, the devil is in the details, and that is what we don’t have a lot of at this point.
Model differences remain, though the GFS computer model has backed off its widespread heavy snow hinted at on Friday.
So far on Saturday, most of the models take the majority of the system to the south. That said the models will probably have a few mind changes over the next few days.
Making a call on this system now is way too early. Much of the information about this storm that is just now entering the Pacific Northwest came from areas in the Pacific Ocean that don’t much good modeling.
Over land and with a few days under its belt, this country crossing system will get a few more details ironed out.
Strength, timing, track will be determined later in the game. In the meantime both people who want snow and those who don’t still have something to cheer for.
