PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities in Hatfield Township say police have arrested two people in connection with a robbery Sunday. The victim was attacked after meeting with three people for what he thought was the chance to buy a car. Hatfield Township detectives are still working to identify the third suspect.
Authorities say they met the victim off Bethlehem Pike just before 6 p.m. The victim told them that he was taking a test ride with three other people in a car he was planning on buying. But, as the victim rode in the backseat, one of the suspects shocked the victim with a stun gun while another began to punch him repeatedly. They took his cash and then kicked him out of the car.
But a little later, police spotted the car the suspects were in, and the victim was able to identify the two people inside as two of the people that attacked him. They were sent to jail on cash bail, but a third suspect in the car was gone, and is still on the run.
