ROSEMONT, Pa. (CBS) – The Dream Flag Project is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
“[The] Dream Flag Project is a multi school community, art poetry, collaboration,” says Jeff Harlan, the director of the project.
He says it started in Rosemont at the Agnes Irwin School with a handful of students he teaches.
“Since we started 75,000 kids have made dream flags across the world,” says Harlan.
He says part of his inspiration for the dream flag project came from Nepalese Buddhist prayer flags.
“Students are invited to write their dreams, to share with the world, to put it on a piece of eight and a half inch by 11 fabric and to decorate it,” Harlan explains.
