PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- A SEPTA bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Philadelphia early Friday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 7 a.m. at West Mount Pleasant Avenue and Cherokee Street in the city’s West Mount Airy section.
According to investigators, two cars collided, sending one of those careening into a SEPTA bus. The car that slammed into the SEPTA bus flipped over on its side, while the SEPTA bus was pushed onto a sidewalk.
A 59-year-old male inside one of the vehicles involved in the initial crash was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in an unknown condition.
There were no reports of any injuries aboard the SEPTA bus.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
