PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - I hear it more and more often from my patients…the work place is becoming harder and harder to tolerate. Issues like lack of job security, lower pay with greater workload and the sense that things are not changing.
Certainly economists and politicians can talk about the issues but the truth of the matter is that from a health standpoint it can lead to poor diet, high blood pressure and numerous health issues.
The easy solution on paper is to find another job, but in this economy many – if not most – are happy to have the jobs they have. If you feel you are in this situation and sense that it is overwhelming, take time for yourself and your family whenever possible. Try to exercise and choose healthy foods.
Most important, focus on positive things in life and realize you are not alone even though you might feel like it.
