PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police have arrested and identified two men in connection with last Thursday night’s beating and robbery of a 53-year old cab driver.
Nahfeeh Williams, 18, and Dawald Williams, 25, both of the 2000 block of Mifflin Street, were arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 19th. The two were tracked down as the result of tips received after SEPTA released surveillance video of the two men who hailed a cab at the 69th Street Terminal around 11:15 at night.
The cab driver drove them to Island Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard where they beat him, and robbed him of his credit cards and wallet, and stuffed him the trunk of his cab. (Read Related Story)
The driver remains hospitalized and under treatment.
The overnight arrests followed a raid on an apartment only about a block from the 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby where police found clothing matching that of the suspects, not long after that arrests were made and charges filed.
