PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged in connection with multiple burglaries in Southwest Germantown.
On Oct. 8 and Nov. 8 of 2012, an unknown male offender entered the Progressive Food Market at 5141 Germantown Avenue by breaking a hole in the side wall. Once inside, the suspect took an undetermined amount of cash and numerous cartons of cigarettes, placed them inside a backpack style bag and fled in an unknown direction.
On Jan. 25, 2013, police observed a male acting suspicious and, after investigating, he was determined to be the suspect responsible for the fall burglaries.
The 45-year-old man, identified as Troy Allen, is from the 3100 block of 29th Street. He is charged with burglary and related offenses.
