PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for an armed suspect who robbed a donut shop in Northeast Philadelphia through the store’s drive-thru window early Tuesday morning.
The robbery happened at about 3:30 a.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts located in the 7500 block of Frankford Avenue in the city’s Mayfair section.
According to investigators, the armed suspect walked up to the store’s drive-thru window and announced a robbery to an employee. Police say the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount cash before the suspect ran away.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male, about 6’0”, wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants.
No employees were hurt during the robbery.
