ABINGTON TWP., Pa. (CBS) – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the man that robbed a PNC Bank in Montgomery County.
The incident occurred around 11:35 a.m. Saturday at the PNC located at 123 Old York Road in Abington Township.
Police say the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note that said give him the money and indicated he had a gun.
The suspect then fled the scene after giving the teller a blue bag, which the teller put an undisclosed amount of cash inside, says police.
The suspect has been described as a 6-foot tall, husky, brown skinned male. He was wearing a mustard colored, Carhartt type coat and a burgundy colored Phillies cap.
Police say the suspect was last seen quickly walking or jogging east on Lenox Road towards Meetinghouse Road.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call 911 or 267-536-1100.
