WESTAMPTON, N.J. (CBS) — Police in a Burlington County town are searching for the driver who fled the scene after striking two young children.
The hit and run happened at about 5:50 p.m. on February 9th on Sharpless Boulevard and Westwind Way in Westampton, New Jersey.
According to investigators, a 10 and 6-year-old were playing in a roadway near their residence when a car struck them and fled the scene.
The victims suffered minor injuries to their backs and knees.
The suspect is described as a black male driving possibly a 1990’s model red Pontiac. The vehicle may have minor scuff damage to the front bumper area.
