NEW HOPE P.A. (CBS) – Area residents can see a classic show at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope this weekend, and at the same time help support the county’s only organization that supports victims of domestic violence.
The Playhouse’s producing director Jed Bernstein says “The Vagina Monologues” is about real stories from real women, but having seen it himself says it’s also of considerable interest to men as well.
Bernstein says a portion of the proceeds from the tickets sold for the show will benefit “A Woman’s Place”.
“A Woman’s Place” provides a wide range of support services, education, outreach and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. There’s one show tonight, two on Saturday and the show ends its run Sunday afternoon. The cast includes Broadway star and Philadelphia native Andrea McArdle.
