PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The SPCA is offering $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of six dogs left near train tracks in South Philadelphia.
SPCA officials say six adult dogs were found within 24 hours of dying, inside three trash bags, during a routine inspection.
Authorities report the dogs appeared to have suffered wounds to their bodies and may have been fighting dogs.
A necropsy will be performed to determine how the dogs died.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call the SPCA Anti-Cruelty hotline at 866-601-SPCA.
