PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Flyers announced on Sunday that they have recalled goaltender Brian Boucher from their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.
With the recall, the Flyers also announced that they have placed Michael Leighton on injured reserve with an upper body injury.
Boucher will be with the team when they face the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Monday night and the Jets in Winnipeg on Tuesday night.
The Flyers acquired Boucher in January from the Carolina Hurricanes.
He has appeared in six games with the Phantoms this season, posting a 2-4-0-0 record and a 2.71 GAA and .908 save percentage.
Leighton appeared in one game with the Flyers so far this season, taking a 5-1 loss against the Lighting in Tampa Bay on January 27th.
