PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Snow fell across the region Friday night, causing many problems, in some areas more than others.
In Doylestown, Bucks County it was snowing steadily for several hours. Crews were working hard to keep the roadways in good condition, while many sidewalks were covered with a couple of inches of snow.
The heaviest of the snow fell in the Lehigh Valley where folks are calling it a “winter wonderland.” Snow started falling and sticking around 6 p.m. Friday night totaling about three inches. Many skiers and snowboarders in the Poconos said the more the merrier.
The storm dumped heavy rain and brought strong wind to the Jersey Shore where coastal flooding and beach erosion were the major concern. The winter weather kept people off the Atlantic City boardwalk where the rain and win turned into a snowy mix. The accumulation was minimal, but it did create slippery conditions.
