PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man believed to have robbed a Philadelphia pizza shop has officially been charged.
Stephen Easterling, 28, was arrested for the Feb. 1, 2013 robbery of the Little Caesar’s Pizza on Island Avenue.
Easterling and another man allegedly entered the pizza shop with guns before violently forcing two employees to open the restaurant’s safe.
While fleeing from the shop with money, the two suspects were confronted by police. Easterling then pointed his loaded .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun with an obliterated serial number at police, and officers shot him.
Easterling is charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Violation of the Firearms Act (VUFA), Conspiracy, Theft, Possession of an Instrument of a Crime (PIC) and Recklessly Endangering Another Person (REAP).
The other assailant has not yet been arrested.
