Police, FBI Search For Man Who Robbed Bala Cynwyd Bank

BALA CYNWYD, Pa. (CBS) - The Lower Merion Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public's help to identify and locate the man who robbed a Bala Cynwyd bank Saturday morning.

Police say the robber approached the Citizens Bank branch located at 121 East City Line Avenue (inside an ACME Market) around 10:45 a.m. and handed a note to the teller, demanding money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber reportedly left the area in a dark-colored SUV.

The robber is described as a black male in his late 20s, 6'2" tall, with a goatee or possibly a beard. He wore a navy winter coat with furry trim on the hood, blue jeans, grayish baseball cap with unknown writing, dark gloves, and dark shoes. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Lower Merion Police Department at 610-649-1000.

A reward may be issued for information leading to his capture.
