NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Devon Saddler scored 21 points and Jamelle Hagins had 20 points with 11 rebounds as Delaware cruised past UNC Wilmington 71-56 Saturday for its third straight win.
The Blue Hens (11-11, 6-3 Colonial Athletic Association) led by as many as 13 in the first half and 33-24 at the break. The Seahawks could get no closer than eight in the second half.
Jarvis Threatt added 15 points, five rebounds and four steals while Josh Brinkley had nine points and eight rebounds for the Blue Hens, who defeated the Seahawks at home for the fifth straight time.
UNC Wilmington (8-13, 3-6), which has lost three of its last four games, is 1-11 on the road this season. The Seahawks have lost 17 of their last 18 road games.
Craig Ponder came off the bench to lead UNC Wilmington with 14 points while Keith Rendleman added 11 on 3-of-11 shooting.
