LOWER POTTSGROVE, Pa. (CBS) – Route 422 East was shut down on Friday morning due to an accident.

The multi-vehicle crash happened in the area of Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove around 9:30 a.m. and involved an armored car and other vehicles in the eastbound lanes.

The driver of the overturned armored car had to be rescued from his vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

Officials in Montgomery County say this was just one of several crashes after a minor snow squall caused slick conditions during the morning commute.
