NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Police say a woman was arrested during a traffic stop after she picked up 50 pounds of marijuana from an United Parcel Services store.

Police say the New Castle County Drug Control Squad was alerted about a delivery to UPS on Monday.

According to police, Dana Bates was seen signing for the delivery, and loading the packages into her Volkswagen Beetle which she drove while having a suspended license.

Authorities report that she was pulled over moments after leaving the store and asked to exit the vehicle so a K-9 officer and his partner could conduct a “sniff” of her vehicle.

After the canine provided a positive indication of a controlled substance, a search warrant was executed and five tubular shaped cardboard packages containing 50.2 pounds of marijuana were seized, says police.
