MERCHANTVILLE, NJ (CBS) – Crews responded to the scene of a two-car fatal accident late Thursday afternoon in Merchantville.

The accident happened at Chapel Avenue between Russell Avenue and Victoria Street near the Merchantville circle.

Pennsauken and Merchantville police were still at the crash scene at 5:45 p.m. Car parts littered the area.

A mother and daughter in one car are said to have died, while two people in the other car are critically injured at Cooper University Hospital.
