PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A non-profit who provides professional clothing and job-readiness training to women who are getting back to work is looking for volunteers.
Career Wardrobe is looking for people from the Philadelphia area that can help with education, clothing collection and sorting. Manager of Education and Outreach, Caitlin Day says they also need dressing assistants.
“What we do is have our clients come in by themselves. No family, no husbands or boyfriends. No children. So you’re kind of the one-on-one person with that woman for the whole hour and it turns out to be one of our most popular volunteer opportunities because it’s really where you get to connect,” says Day.
She says anyone who is passionate about helping women get back to work can volunteer and time commitments are flexible.
