COLLINGSWOOD, N.J. (CBS) – A New Jersey wellness center is offering a class to show that yoga is not just for women.

Terrance Bennett is teaching a yoga class just for men at the Lourdes Wellness Center in Collingswood. He says too many guys go to the gym just to lift weights and do cardio, failing to see what else, such as the downward facing dog or warrior pose, could do for them.

“Along with the flexibility and the gaining power you also are able to control your breathing. And with controlling the breathing you can lower your stress levels and help relax the mind,” says Bennett.

He says the 5,000-year-old discipline was traditionally taught to men, but in this country classes have become predominantly female dominated.
