Trenton Gang Member Gets 20-Year Sentence For Slaying

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A Trenton gang member who is serving two consecutive life terms for his role in a deadly house fire has been sentenced for another unrelated slaying.

Dewan "Gully Boy" Dennis received a 20-year sentence Friday for ordering the murder of Denneshia Ledbetter in April 2005. He initially had received a life sentence for that crime, but his conviction was overturned and he eventually pleaded guilty last October to aggravated manslaughter in a plea deal with Mercer County prosecutors.

The 39-year-old Dennis had received two life sentences for ordering gang members to set fire to a Trenton home where one of his rivals lived with his family. The March 2005 fire killed Rasheen Glover and his two young daughters.
