PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers have signed right wing Mike Knuble, and called up Andreas Lilja from the Adirondack Phantoms, the team announced today. Both players will be available for Saturday night’s game at Florida.
Knuble, 40, returns to the Flyers after spending the past three seasons with the Washington Capitals. He played for the Flyers for four seasons (2005-2009) after signing as a free agent on July 3, 2004. Knuble appeared in 310 games for the Flyers, playing all 82 games in three of those four seasons. He recorded 114 goals and 107 assists for 221 points, along with 92 PIM and a plus-29 rating. In 1040 career games with Detroit, Boston, the Flyers and Washington, Knuble has 274 goals and 266 assists for 540 points. He won a Stanley Cup with Detroit in 1998.
Lilja, 37, returns to the Flyers after joining Adirondack on January 17. He has two assists in four games with the Phantoms this season.
