PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A Southwest Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged with slashing another passenger on a SEPTA bus last summer.
Albert Booth, 22, of South 56th Street near Springfield Avenue in Kingsessing, was arrested last night at his home.
Authorities say Booth and another man he did not know argued on the Route 52 bus last August 18th.
Witnesses say the other passenger tried to ignore Booth, who then pulled a knife and cut the man across the face from ear to mouth.
Doctors needed hundreds of stitches to close the wound.
Booth has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and other offenses. His arraignment was pending.
