PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The coldest air thus far this season is taking over, and being reinforced by a quickly evolving and fast-moving system that will also usher in a little light snow mainly late this evening, just enough to drop a nuisance coating across the Delaware Valley.
Skies quickly clear overnight, but we’re left in Mother Nature’s freezer for a few days!
The worst of the cold comes Tuesday through Thursday with highs only in the 20s, each day having its own headline of sorts.
Tuesday: worst wind chill; with gusts up to 30 mph, it may feel no warmer than the low teens.
Wednesday: coldest temperatures; morning lows in the teens, warming only to the mid-20s.
Thursday: still cold, but we begin to pull out of the harshest cold.
And by Friday, we’re watching the development of a new storm system. Right now it looks like our area has a decent chance to see a few inches of snow to round out the work week.
