$100 Will Let You Message Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg

By Social Media Reporter Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Do you have thoughts about the new Facebook search engine or anything else you'd like to share with its CEO? For a cool $100 you can message Mark Zuckerberg.

Last month the social network announced that it would be experimenting with some price points in its messaging system. The most controversial and expensive of these would be charging $100 to message Mark Zuckerberg.

"Facebook is trying to do everything it possibly can to make money, whether it's charging you a dollar for a poke, and there doing lots of little experiments to make money and this is just one of them, to see if they can make some money," says CNET blogger Chris Matyszczyk.

While spending $100 may keep your message out of Zuckerberg's new Facebook spam filtering, is a response guaranteed?

"I mean no there is absolutely no guarantee at all. They don't ever read their own Facebook pages most of the time. Maybe Zuckerberg does, but all he has is separate groups on his Facebook page that he cares about which is probably a couple of his robotic buddies and a few family members," Matyszczyk says.
