VOORHEES, N.J. (CBS) – Voorhees, New Jersey was a Flyers’ fan Nirvana Sunday as the team opened training camp to the public as a thank you for staying loyal through a 113-day lock-out.
Sure it was tough to keep the faith through the lock-out.
“I’m pretty bitter actually, that’s the exact word I used,” said one fan.
But there’s an emotion that means you never have to say you’re sorry, and Flyers fans feel it for their team.
“The team is trying to show the love right back, opening practices all week to fans. [That’s] an offer even those who are planning to boycott games can’t refuse,” said another fan.
